Voltage Monitoring Relay

A voltage monitoring relay is an electrical protection device that continuously tracks voltage levels in AC or DC systems to prevent damage from fluctuations. It detects conditions like overvoltage, undervoltage, or phase issues and responds by tripping circuits or activating alarms.

Key Function- These relays safeguard equipment such as motors, compressors, and control panels by disconnecting power when voltage falls outside set thresholds. They often include time delays to ignore brief spikes and hysteresis to avoid rapid cycling.

Working Principal- The relay uses sensing circuits with voltage dividers and comparators to measure input against user-defined limits, triggering outputs like relay contacts when deviations occur. In three-phase models, it also checks phase balance, sequence, and loss for industrial reliability.
